Localizado al final de la carretera PR-303, justo despues de paradores, mangles y las Salinas de Cabo Rojo...continua,el camino es dificil, pero no imposible!
Located at the end of Road 303 just past paradors mangroves, and the Salt Flats of Cabo Rojo...keep going, the road is a little bit difficult but not impossible!

Este es nuestro primer cache, así que lo tomamos muy en serio y decidimos que el Faro Los Morrillos era un MOST para poner uno. No es muy difícil, pero les recomendamos que lleguen temprano ya que los Vigilantes de Recursos Naturales mantienen un control bastante estricto en el acceso a la playa y el área del Faro. En fines de semana regular y largo, y días feriados sólo dejan entrar al área entre 80 a 100 carros. En días de semana es más suave, así que pueden intentarlo. Sólo les digo que tengan mucho ojo con los muggles y cuando lo encuentren manténganlo escondido. Hay una ruta de MB cerca.No necesitan 4x4, pero el terreno no es bueno para vehiculos pequeños en dias lluviosos. QUE DISFRUTEN!!!!!!
El Faro Los Morrillos: Está ubicado en la carretera 301 final, Sector Llanos Costa, Combate, Cabo Rojo. Fue el segundo construído en 1877 bajo la dominación española. Tomó seis años en completar su construcción y se terminó en el año 1882. El Faro de Cabo Rojo forma parte del sistema de alumbrado marítimo de Puerto Rico y el 22 de octubre de 1981 fue incluído en el Registro Nacional de Lugares Históricos del Departamento del Interior de Los Estados Unidos. Fue diseñado por los ingenieros españoles Manuel Maese, E. Gadea y M. Sainz. La escalera y el sistema de iluminación fue importado de Europa. El Faro proveía vivienda para dos torreros y sus respectivas familias. Constaba con una sala, dos dormitorios, una cocina y un baño. Todas las paredes originales fueron construídas en ladrillo y argamasa. Hay paredes de hasta 44 pulgadas de ancho.
Se ofrecen recorridos en su interior.

This is our first geocache, so we took it very seriously and decided that Los Morrillos Lighthouse was a MOST for placing one. It is not very difficult, but we recommend you reach the area early given that the Rangers of the PRNRD maintain a very strict control of the access to the beach and lighthouse area. Most weekends, regular and long, they only grant access for 80 to 100 vehicles. During weekdays should be easier, so you can try it then. My advice: be weary of muggles and when you DO find it, keep it hidden. There is no need for 4x4 vehicles, but the route might be difficult for small vehicles in rainy days.There is a mountain bike route near. HAVE FUN!!!
Los Morrillos Lighthouse: Located at the end of Road 301, sector Llanos Costa, Combate, Cabo Rojo. It was the second constructed in 1877 under Spanish domination; its construction took six years and was finished in 1882. Cabo Rojo lighthouse is part of the maritime lighting system and on October 22, 1981, was included in the National Registry of Historical Sites of the U.S. Department of the Interior. The design and credited to Manuel Maese, E. Gadea and M.Sainz, Spanish engineers. The stair case and the lighting system were imported from Europe. The lighthouse was used as a residence for two lighthouse guards and their families. It had a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and one bathroom. All original walls were built in brick and mortar. There are walls that are up to 44 inches in width.
