Geocache Description:

In 1862 Alanson and Rachael Moremen purchased 200 acres of land that included a large brick house from the Gabriel Farnsley estate and moved from their farm near Brandenburg, Ky.  They purchased surrounding tracts of land and soon it became the largest farm in Jefferson County.
The Moremens' named this large farm "Riverside".

Even though it is not recognized as such, In its hay day with over 1500 acres, Riverside could have been considered one of the few Plantations in Kentucky.  By definition a Plantation is a large farm where crops are grown for sale in distant markets and that is exactly what took place at Riverside.

The cache is a camouflaged RX bottle hidden in a clump of trees near the entrance to Riverside, Farnsley-Moorman Landing Park.   Please remember to bring a writing instrument to sign the log.
