Byways of Burnside #30 Traditional Cache

This is a simple traditional cache and No.30 in an occasional series.
These byways have come into being through a variety of reasons. Some are easements for drainage etc., others are walkways left in subdivisions while a few are narrow linear creek walks. Older lanes provided access for the ‘night carts’ that collected ‘night soil’ from the houses backing on to the lanes – nice euphemisms! All the byways are easily accessible by foot and some by car, although walking is recommended. Some are quite attractive while others are less appealing. The caches are all on public land. This is the final Byway in the series. Following the popularity of ‘Somethings are not what they seem’(GC11TA2), set in March 2007, I decided to look for some more lanes, and in November 2007 set ‘Byways of Burnside #1 (GC17440). To date (20 July 2010) I have set twenty-nine in the series and these have collectively accumulated just over 2,000 finds and around 120 DNFs. Those that prove most difficult, with DNFs over ten, are: #6 Andrews Walk, (GC1AX7H), #7 Duell Lane, (GC1CF29), #11 Garden Avenue, (GC1GMQA) and #18 Brunswick Lane (GC21XAF). I have been surprised at the number of cachers who seem to enjoy poking around in these dark alleys at night. The caches have been popular with interstate blitz teams, some who hire bikes to do the rounds. There was even a suggestion of establishing a Byways Bike Trail! There have been several finds in the Eastwood area by business people staying at nearby motels. I have enjoyed the challenge of setting these caches, appreciate the kind and helpful comments by many of the finders and hope the caches continue to give pleasure for some time yet. I acknowledge the help given by Mrs. A., whose knowledge of the Burnside area is encyclopaedic, in directing me to some of the more obscure lanes. You are looking for a dark green painted eclipse tin. As satloc is pretty dicey in this area I have added a hint that should help with locating the cache.
