Geocache Description:

The given coordinates take you near the location of this cache. However, as with most "Puzzle" caches, the given coordinates are not the final location of the cache and they won't help you find the cache. To find the final location you will have to solve the following puzzle.

As you may or may not know, Mrs. jziulkow is a registered nurse. She works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. Nursing for her is a passion and way of life, rather than just another job. This is our first puzzle, based on calculations that are used by Nursing professionals all over the country.

This cache lends its namesake to Florence Nightingale who was hailed as the mother of the modern 'Nurse.'

The cache can be found at the following location after the case study been solved:
N 40° AA.ABB W 086° CC.DDD

CASE STUDY:
Your patient is a 36 year old, 156lb, male, who was in a traumatic motor vehicle accident 2 hours previous in which he sustained head and thoracic injuries. He has been experiencing severe drops in blood pressures after the high volumes of blood loss from the injuries. A dopamine drip has been ordered. The order is to begin the drip at 20mcg/kg/min. The vial comes up to the bedside with 400mg of dopamine mixed in 250ml of D5W. The amount of ml/hr this pt will recieve is CC. The pt has had one seizure since the accident from the increased pressure on his brain. Phenytoin (Dilantin), 0.05 g PO, is ordered to be given through a nasogastric tube to control the seizures. Phenytoin is available as 6.94 mg / 3 mL. The amount of ml the nurse will give the pt is XX.X. The pt is also receiving a maintenance fluid through a subclavin central line. The order is for him to receive 2400ml of D5W over 24hrs. Find out how many ml/hr the pt will receive and use the last two digits of the number to get YY. Two hours later we discover that the pt's blood pressures are now rising too high. We need to know what the Mean Arterial Pressure is in order to decide what we are going to do with his dopamine drip. His blood pressure is now 147/81. Take his MAP and add 302 to it to solve for DDD. Continue to monitor this pt for any further necessary interventions. In order to correct for new final cache placement, subtract 0.1 from XX.X, your answer is AA.A. Add 94 to YY, this answer is BB. Have fun finding the cache!
