Geocache Description:

The day of Japan’s surrender, Aug. 15, 1945, was a momentous one in American and world history, but fewer and fewer people who remember it are around to share their stories with the rest of us.

May the words of an old tune remind you of history's lessons and the price of freedom:

"All day I face the barren waste without a taste of water
Some devils had a plan buried poison in the sand
Keep on movin' Dan we're still in no-man's land
Dry bones and sand, our spirits cry out for water.." (paraphrased)
-Words and music by Bob Nolan

We will meet at 9:30 a.m. at posted coordinates (Sickmans Mill).
