Geocache Description:

Very close to the towpath of the Stratford-on-Avon canal near to the village of Wilmcote.
There is considerable Muggle activity especially in Summer so great stealth may be needed!
The terrain rating has been revised upward as towpath work in early 2019 has slightly increased difficulty of access.

The village of Wilmcote was the childhood home of Shakespeares mother Mary Arden and the house is only about 250 metres away. She was the youngest of 8 sisters and at the age of only 15 was co-executor of her fathers will and inherited the bulk of his estate, and this in an age of female subservience, leaving little doubt that the poet had an astonishing gene pool on his mothers side.
Parking near the cache is limited so if full seek in the village where there are two pubs with large car parks or at Mary Ardens House if you are visiting it of course.
Look out for Geokids as there is deep water close to the cache.
GPS will be affected by the tree canopy.
