A good warm-up hike for White Mt, but a great peak in its own right.
Caitlyn and Taryn carried the ammo box all the way up here - you can sign the peak register (also an ammo box) and the cache register as well. Wonderful views of the entire Sierra Nevada and White Mtn range. The cache is located under an overhang, south of the peak. It's about 6 mi RT from the locked gate, and the peak is just over 13,000.
