Geocache Description:

This is my very first hide. Being somewhat of a perfectionist, I thought this day would never come. I kept looking for the perfect spot, the perfect container, the perfect name, the perfect description, the perfect coordinates…Well, you get the picture. I finally decided that perfection is unrealistic and I should just hide something and use it as a learning experience. Now that it is all said and done, I found it to be an uplifting experience. Hopefully you will too.

The cache is along a marked hiking trail in the Rancho Del Oro area of Oceanside. The trail starts/ends at a mini park on Tiffany Drive. It goes along more or less in a southerly direction for about a quarter mile, where you’ll find yourself overlooking one of the putting greens at the El Camino Country Club. The trail then makes a turn towards the west and ends/starts at Calle Buena Ventura. Parking/trail access is at N 33 11.805 W 117 18.785. The mini park is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, but since the trail bisects a couple of neighborhoods, night caching is discouraged. Follow the path from the parking coordinates and you will find the sign marking the hiking trail. The trail is popular with dog walkers so some stealth may be required. Please try to hide the cache exactly as you found it. A $15 Sports Authority gift card awaits the FTF.
