Welcome to my 22nd cache hide.
A small and heavily camouflaged cache. Pretty easy terrain located in a small Traveling Stock Route (TSR) of about 100 acres. The land is crown land and freely available to the public.
The whole area used to be part of the Tocumwal Air Base during WW2.
I have named this one "Kangaroo Corner" and for good reason. Over the last three years of driving along this road i have seen many kangaroos here, and on this corner in particular, two very large ones.
About two months ago, my wife had a moderate sized collision after attempting to avoid a kangaroo on the corner about 100 meters away on the dirt road. GZ is pretty much where she came to rest. No injuries and the car has since been fixed, but parts were strewn everywhere. Important thing was no one was hurt, but gees, damn Kangaroos are everywhere up here.....
From that time forward, we referred to this corner as "Kangaroo Corner".
Please be careful with children if you have them at this cache, Cobram-Barooga Road is not far away and is very busy. There is some traffic along the road the cache is located on as well. Snakes have been seen in this are in the summer time, so be careful of them as well.
NOTE: As of the 28/03/2012 cache has been changed to a standard hide due to nearby road works covering up the original cache. It can't be located. This is a temporary replacement, it will be back in its original form once road work ceases.
