Green Hills of Platte Wildlife Preserve

Welcome to Green Hills of Platte Wildlife Preserve. From the trailhead there is over a mile loop of hiking trails that vary in type as well as terrain winding through this 48 acre park. Hopefully, you will enjoy this little slice of nature that includes native prairie grasses, trees, a small wetland area and blooming flowers. Bring a camera along with you as you might even be lucky enough to see some of the deer, turkey, foxes, birds and other assorted wildlife that call this preserve home.
The cache itself is slightly off the trail but terrain is flat and fairly easy to access. Please park at the trailhead waypoint provided in order to avoid crossing private property. Also access to the preserve as well as this cache itself are limited to the hours that the park is open which is from dawn till dusk year round.
This cache has been placed and maintained by the Platte County Parks and Recreation Department and contains a log sheet, a little swag and a pen. If the cache has been vandalized, missing or contains inappropriate material inside, please report it by emailing:platteparksmo@gmail.com.
