The Chico Central Little League uses the baseball fields for their games, and the fields are available to the public when not in official use.
Surrounding the playing fields is a short walk/bike path (Our grandson first took off his training wheels on this loop!) and the park is adjacent to a new section of landscaped hike/bike path connecting to Hooker Oak and Lower Bidwell Park.
On windy days, Wildwood Park becomes a favored gathering place for kite enthusiasts and families that enjoy spreading blankets on the grass and kicking back to watch colorful kites dancing in the air.
