The Great Blue Heron cache is located in the Passaic River Park,
a small woodland park of the Union County Park Commission. The
Passaic River runs through the park and is frequented by many
waterfowl including herons which have been seen here many times. As
you walk towards this cache, you may see a heron perched on the
river bank hunting for their prey.
Park in the lot off River Road. This is a very easy walk to the
cache. There are no trails in this park for all the other caches,
so it will be all bushwhacking from the parking area.
Please protect yourself during the warmer months from ticks and
mosquitoes.
The NNJC is about promoting a quality caching experience in
Northern New Jersey. For information on The Northern New Jersey
