We liked the late, great Business Traveler route (won't someone
revive it?) and knew of a nice spot nearby that had an active
colony of beavers...hence the nickname of this hunt.
There are three or four ways of getting there, but this is the
most scenic and relaxing: Cross the street from the parking lot and
look to the right for the sign marking the Riviana Trail path and
you're on your way.
Watch for beavers (although we've never actually seen one yet),
tooth-sharpened beaver stumps, two beaver dams and a beaver house
as you make your way to our wide, white-lidded cache. Inside you'll
find 11 little grow sponges (take a capsule and put it in water,
you might get your Zodiac sign), a Slinky, a Boom-O card game,
flavored dental floss, a log book, a camera for snapshots (people
shots or beaver shots, your choice), and an autographed copy of a
book we wrote.
