Geocache Description:

A cache located near the boat launch at Gardner Lake, in Salem, CT.

This is a redo of a cache that I had here a couple years ago. I removed the cache because the launch was being completely rebuilt.

It now has a dock, much better parking and a lot of space to turn around and unload. The water here is very, and there's a public beach that's accessed from the boat launch parking lot. It's the perfect spot to use as a base for kayaking and boating adventures.

If you're adventurous, there's an island a short ways offshore that has a cache on it too. If you like fishing, the lake is known for it's smallmouth bass and walleye population.

We like kayaking here, but it's a very busy lake with lots of motorboat and water sports activities on the weekend.
