Geocache Description:

Looking for treasure left behind by one of the most notorious pirates ever to sail the seas? Well this is as close as you're going to get. This Geocache is located in the heart of the city of George Town on the main island, Grand Cayman. Bring your snorkel gear to explore the great shipwreck close to shore.

An old map was located in a burnt out church said to have been built in the late 16th century. Luckily, parts of it was salvageable and through modern day technology i was able to decipher the code. I have included my translation below as well as a copy of the map that may prove useful to your quest although it is not entirely necessary.

-Find 'The Wharf'

-Look for the 'Public Beach Access Sign'

-Follow the path to the sea and walk along the shore until you come upon the pool that is not a pool.

-Look for the lone tree that's closest to the sea

-With your back against the tree, turn away from the sea and angle towards 2 o' clock

-In plain sight you will see a green hill (27 Steps from tree)

At the root of the hill on the side closest to the sea you will see an old tree root. Look hard and you see the treasure left for thee.

Cache is in a clear plastic cylindrical container the size of a shoebox. Many little items are in the cache including some postcards and souvenirs.

Remember that if you take something you need to leave something.

Take a look at the map, it may help you on your quest. As usual 'X' marks the spot.
