Geocache Description:

Located in the Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt at an overlook area. Polk County Conservation Board permit CH11-15.

The Greenbelt started out fifty years ago as an effort to preserve the oxbows that were part of the old South Skunk river, which was diverted into a straight channel many years ago. The Greenbelt now includes wetlands, sand hills, remnants of native prairie, and reconstructed prairie land.
