Geocache Description:

A small clip lock box hidden in West Devon!

Useless Eustace is one of those people we all love to hate, a banker. Even worse, he’s an investment banker, or at least he was.  Unlike Fred the Shred and his ilk, Eustace was low down the food chain, so there was no multi million pound pension pot for him.

When Useless Eustace heard that he was “being let go” and on what terms, he was more than a little piqued and decided to take some samples of the banks wares with him, to wit, a briefcase full of cash. It wasn’t easy to get hold of cash in an investment bank but get it he did; his pride was at stake.

Even Useless Eustace realised that hiding the money under the mattress was not the smartest thing to do so he hit upon the idea of depositing it in the countryside. Immediate money problem solved. Or was it?.

Remember the name Useless Eustace. He didn’t get that for nothing! He was careless, very careless, but he was good with figures, after all he spent his working life with them.

Today the police visited and searched his home. They found nothing to obviously implicate him in any theft but they took away the chart he'd used to hide the cash. He’s terrified they’ll realise what they have.

Personally I have no sympathy for him; the money wasn’t his in the first place. It would please me no end  if somebody removed all traces of it and filled the container with innocuous trinkets. Just imagine his face (or the police's) on seeing those!

I managed to get hold of a copy of the chart but can't make head nor tail of it so if you want to give it a go please do. It would be a real laugh to find the stash. I know Eustace, he's no great traveller, (when he has to pay for himself) so it's safe to bet the Northing starts with 50 and the Westing with 004 so all we have to do is figure out the rest!.
