Frisco Highline Trail -- Springfield Trailhead Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OzarksJim: I checked on this cache the other day because of recent logs and have decided to archive it. I'm surprised it last five and a half years here.

Geocache Description:

Here's another fairly easy cache along the trail. Most caches along the trail are NOT park-and-grabs, but this one is.

This cache is located at the southeastern-most point of the Frisco Highline Trail. You could say this is the beginning of the trail (unless you are coming from Bolivar).

You can park very close to the cache in the nearby parking lot. Please watch out for muggles because this can be a very busy area during certain times of the day.

You WILL have to bushwhack to get to the cache. The undergrowth was pretty thick when I placed the cache, but I didn't see any poison ivy or thorns. However, that doesn't mean there wasn't any so keep this in mind. This is a trademark OzarksJim hide in that I made sure nobody would find this cache accidentally (I hope). So I wouldn't recommend this cache for small kids due to the thick undergrowth and tree branches that you will have to reach over and around to get to the cache.

You do not need to cross any fences but beware of the barbed wire fence near the cache.

The cache is a salad container (another OzarksJim trademark) with black tape on the lid. Bring your own writing instrument. Please make sure you put the cache back EXACTLY as you found it.

Good luck and have fun!
