Timmerman Ferry - 1894-1931
The Timmerman Ferry was owned and operated by August Edward
Timmerman and his family. Three thousand feet of 3/4 inch cable
were strung across the Columbia River between Richland's Columbia
Point and Fraklin County.
Ferry fees covered livestock, wagons, foot passengers
andautomotive traffic.

$1.00 - wagon or buggy with a team of horse; automobile;
truck
There was no charge for passengers nor vehicles returning the same
