Geocache Description:

Sadly, Silent Wings has been silent too long.

Happily, a new cache is in place and the new owners will make sure it stays secure and well stocked. Gladly our geodog, Shalome, has very kindred feelings with Shasta the previous geodog who looked after the cache, so we will leave most of her notes here and add only what is needed.

Well, my master originally was going to make this cache too easy to find, but I convinced him that people, just like dogs, like to go for walks and hunt for hidden treasures. 8-Þ

But, you will have to drive for a bit before you get to run across a big field and sniff around a bamboo grove (I know I smelled rabbits in there...I like to chase rabbits).  When you come down the access road, go past the Quonset hut and park under the windsock.  Watch out for skydivers on the weekends.  check out the sailplanes and ultralights too.

If you come at lunchtime on a Friday or Saturday and are hungry, try Murray's on Hwy 90 (N 30° 35.153 W 084° 34.037 ).  They have homemade peach cobbler on those days that will make your tail wag.  Their BBQ sandwiches are pretty tasty too!    8-Þ
