This cache is in honor of Jerry2554 who got me addicted to
geocaching. When he first explained it to me, it didn't sound like
anything special. And failing to find the second stage of the
Graham Cave multi-cache during mosquito season didn't help his
case. But he persevered and I tagged along with him for several
Cahokia Mounds caches, sometimes finding them before him. And
probably around the time we went back to the Graham Cave
multi-cache and succeeded in finding the final, I was hooked. I
went out and got my own GPSr and even geocached when my wife and I
went on our 20th anniverary vacation.
If it weren't for geocaching, I wouldn't have been to so many
city, county and state parks. Nor would I have had the experience
of taking my wife's nephew geocaching. One of my best geocaching
moments was trekking through West Tyson County Park on January 2
during 20 degree weather. The sun was shining and moving kept me
plenty warm. It was great hiking in the park's solitude that
day.
So thanks go to Jerry for giving me this habit.

trip to southern Illinois for the SLAGA county challenge.

While I like puzzles, Jerry has a real passion for them. So to
honor him, I created this puzzle cache near where Jerry first
showed me The Safecrackers Cache. Jerry will show you where to find
this cache. The path may be uneven but bit by bit, you
should find the final.
