The cache is a 100ml pill container, with a log only, you need to bring a pen, hidden at ground zero. There is parking just up the road a bit on the right side as its on a corner, watch the kids..
There is a restricted notice here is mainly for the bridal track which had been washed out in places. It's Ok to the cache, track is good.
Blasted, picked and shovelled out of a steep hillside, the bridle track was opened in 1884. It was a great asset for the people who no longer had to trudge up and down the incline to Denniston, with the added worry of being struck by a railway wagon.
They grew to dislike the track, this piece of verse by some anonymous traveller;
Damn Denniston,
Damn the track,
Damn the way both there and back,
Damn the wind, and damn the weather,
God damn Denniston altogether.
The walkway up to Denniston takes 3 hrs and 2 hrs to come down.
