Geocache Description:

Going absolutely BATTY

There is a place that the Bat hangs out and calls his home. I am sure if you look hard enough you will find the home of Robin also. The bat likes to be out of sight out of mind, so the cache is out of sight out of mind as well. There is a trail to access this cache but you have to find it also. BYOP

For the first to find is a piece of Brazilian culture. It is a bracelet that says, “lembranca do senhor do bonfim da bahia”, which means “Souvenir of Our Lord of a Good End of Bahia”. Senhor do Bonfim is apparently one of the names used for Jesus. Bahia is a region in Brazil.

Anyway, the idea is that you tie three knots when you put the band on, and for each knot you make a wish. Then you wait for it to fall off, you throw it in the sea, and your wishes are granted.

My wife and I are not Brazilian but we have hosted Brazilian exchange students for high school and they become our children. We thought we would pass some of this culture onto you.

Enjoy the hunt and as always Cache in and Cache out.
