Slippery hills, mud, mosquitoes, poison ivy, and briars protect the Emerald Treasure Chest. It is a fun, but challenging pirate themed hunt. There be a second treasure after finding the first. Bring good stuff to keep the hunt worth going to for others. That's the gist of this cache.
AAAAAAAAArgh! This cache be in th' Cleveland(Rocky River) Metroparks AKA "Th' Emerald Necklace" `Tis a nice hike t' th'cache. More swabbies would want t' live in Ohio/Cleveland suburbs if they knew what nice parks we be havin'. We get nay respect. Th'Rocky Ri'er has nay an' will nerecatch on fire; `Tis in th' name, "Th' Emerald Booty Chest." Cool stuff in...cool stuff out. Th' idee o' this cache be t' brin' interestin' swag t' get interestin' swag. Fer example, a puzzle...some sort o' toy or trinket from a piece o' eight(..daller) store would be cool t' brin', but a broken toy or free political bumper sticker that ye be havin'...nay so much. Please feel free t' help wi' maintenance wi' a re-visit/re-loggin' yer re-visit in th' log book as 't can be a nice hike. Feel free t' brin' some loot fer th' box t' exchange or donate. (Children`s gift-bag birthday party toys (from piece o' eight stores) be cheap an' make good additions.) Thar t'ain't much garbage in this area, but 't happens. Bringin' a plastic bag t' nab any ye find would be much appreciated by all who love th' park. Dasn't cross through th' Rocky Ri'er t' get t' th' cache. That could be dangerous. Thar be other ways from west goin' east o' th' cache an' tougher ways than west t' east from th' south goin' north. Th' cache be placed while wearin' flip flops, but ye might want t' wear some hikin' boots. Be havin' fun. EXTRA TREASURE CHEST INFO: When you get to the first cache, you'll find a pirate map (Directions really-- map is too easy.) to the extra treasure. Make sure that you put the map back and hide the second treasure as you found it (if you find it). Leave your loot that you bring in the first treasure box unless it's brand new stuff-- in which case, you may leave it in the second. Log your visit in the first box. You won't need your gps for the second box; just follow the directions. (You'll need to have some idea of n,e,w,s.) Each person in your party may take one item from the second treasure chest. Please take only one item from the first or one for each item left from the first. If you log your visit please let me know if the second treasure chest is empty.
