Master Chef Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bristracker: Last advice from geocachers was that something very dodgy had been going on in the bushes.
Being responsible, I don't want any cachers taking risks so am immediately archiving this one.
Once some suspicious activities have been sighted, it is possible the place could be used again.

Geocache Description:

Clear plastic 3litre clipsal container with delicious swaps hidden in local park. WARNING: BROWN SNAKES have been known in this area

Just had to get this one out for the geochefs out there.

The park is close to a very large er Super shopping centre on the Gold Coast. It does not have a name and there are no signs re dogs or any other information. It is worth visiting for the impressive line of magnificent mango trees running north south through the centre of the park. There are also several specimens of mature trees growing around the boundary. I can only guess that someone must have planted them a long time ago.

Hardly any trash in this park. The only dogs I have seen are on leash so best to follow that plan if you have geohounds with you.

The cache is hidden in a secluded corner. There is parking on Markeri Street but that is a busy road so not good if you have children with you. You could park nearby in the cul de sac, or if you park at the northern end of the park you can walk through, admiring the lovely line of trees. Do watch out as you pick your way through shrubbery near the cache - you don't want to poke your eye out or trip over fallen branches. Tree cover is dense in this shady corner so maybe get your bearings sitting on one of the wooden posts alongside the shrubbery.

This cache would be ideal for swapping winning recipes and cooking hints. But please DO NOT leave any food or perishables.
After you find the cache, sit on the grass nearby and look through the contents before returning the cache to its hiding place, making sure to cover with lots of sand and leaves, making a mound covered with twigs or branches that will signal to other cachers that a cache is hidden there.

WARNING: logs mention BROWN SNAKES. Do not enter this area if you have any concerns. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing always. If brown snakes are nesting nearby they will fight you. Always stamp hard when walking in long grass. Don't take the risk.
