This is a small but growing series started by balancingwalcheros and is centered around the Great British icon the public Red Telephone Box.
These phones are steadily being phased out and replaced by more modern boxes, although some still remain, but in various states of disrepair, some in working order, many not.
This one in Yalding (01622 814289) still works & appears to have been recently repainted.
Inside the box is a plaque informing us that Sir Giles Gilbert Scott designed this series of boxes in 1935, which were introduced in 1936 commemorating the Silver Jubilee of King George V.
This is a cache & dash opportunity, with local on-street parking, but quite a busy junction.
Stealth is necessary!
