Short Desc: Water Bottle type container 3 miles up Wahkeena Spring to Devil's Rest trail. Forest reception hit or miss. See clue.
Super long detailed description, please print/check topo map: Park at Wahkeena Falls trailhead (forest pass is Not required, horah). There are two equally length routes.
Option 1: Hike up the Wahkeena Springs trail. Take the Vista Point trail 419 then at the next cross trail turn left on trail 420, 500 feet later take the right path 420C towards Devils Rest...
Option 2: A slightly more direct but no view option is to continue straight at Vista Point trail, then continue straight again when Wahkeena Springs trail heads right. Right on trail 420 then right on 420C...
...At the top of the switchbacks hop the tiny log and take the side trail heading left where the main trail heads right. It is not across the stream. There is fair reception with an opening in trees just south of its location.
Bring water and take your time it is a climb! This hike can be fairly strenuous and involves a 1900' elevation gain in 3 miles. Great views and waterfalls along the route.
