Along time ago when I was at school the main road north passed through Bridge of Allan. Near the end of the bridge was "Reid the Grocers. (netherallan bacon our speciality" .) where my father was the manager.( this is now a bicycle shop.) I only mention this in the passing as if you approach this cache from Bridge of Allan you will be passing Netherton Farm where all the pigs to supply Reids bacon were reared. From the cache site you have views of Gillies Hill, Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, Lecropt church the Knock hill and the Ochills.
