[CnK] Spiagga di Sabaudia Traditional Cache

Situata sulla costa del Mar Mediterraneo, Sabaudia è una piacevole cittadina in provincia di Latina, costruita nel 1934 per opera dell'allora primo ministro Benito Mussolini. Questo cache fa parte di una serie dedicata proprio a questo piccolo centro urbano, oramai diventato famoso come luogo di villeggiatura, soprattutto estiva.

La sua spiaggia è facilmente identificabile grazie al fantastico panorama offerto dal monte Circeo, il cui profilo ricorda quello del volto di una donna addormentata, con i capelli che cadono nel mare. Alcune storie fantastiche vogliono che quel volto sia quello della maga Circe che, abbandonata da Ulisse, si addormentò e si trasformò in montagna.

La spiaggia, nei mesi estivi, è sempre molto frequentata, soprattutto nei week-end e sebbene sia diventata "famosa" negli ultimi anni a causa dell'assidua presenza di numerosi vip italiani (provenienti sia dal mondo della politica che da quello dello spettacolo), questa spiaggia, così come le dune a ridosso della stessa, è stata utilizzata già nel passato da alcuni registi per girarci scene di alcuni film. Famosissima è la scena del film "Amore mio aiutami" (1969) in cui il grande regista e attore Alberto Sordi, 'picchia' selvaggiamente Monica Vitti (o, meglio, la sua controfigura, la cantante Fiorella Mannoia).

Il cache è stato nascosto in zona demaniale in prossimità della villa dello scultore Emilio Greco che ha vissuto qui a lungo trovando ispirazione per alcune delle sue opere.

Si tratta di un contenitore di plastica ermetico. All'interno non si trova la penna, quindi dovete portarvene una dietro. E' nascosto in una zona che può essere molto frequentata, quindi fate particolare attenzione. E' superfluo sottolineare di rimettere il cache nella stessa identica posizione in cui lo avete trovato.

Located on the Mediterranean coast, Sabaudia is a pleasant town in the province of Latina, built in 1934 by the Prime Minister of that time Benito Mussolini. This cache is part of a series dedicated to this small village, that is now famous as a resort, especially in summer.

The beach is easily identifiable thanks to the terrific landscape of the Circeo Mount, whose profile resembles the face of a sleeping woman, with her hair falling into the sea. Some fantastic stories want that face to be the one of sorceress Circe who, abandoned by Odysseus fell asleep and turned into a mountain.

The beach in the summer months, it is always very crowded, especially on weekends. It has become "famous" in recent years due to the important presence of numerous VIPs (coming from both the world of politics and from the show-biz), but this beach as well as the dunes behind it, has been already used in the past by some directors for some scenes of their movies that have been shot there. One of the most famous is from the movie "Amore mio aiutami" (1969, "Help me, my love") in which the great director and actor Alberto Sordi, wildly 'beats' Monica Vitti (or rather her stunt double, singer Fiorella Mannoia).

The cache has been hidden in state-owned area near the house of the sculptor Emilio Greco who lived here for a long time and found inspiration for some of his works.
