I Härryda så under medeltiden byggdes en stenkyrka där dagens kyrka står. Det man vet är att 1835 så byggdes den till, men att bygget misslyckades när man skulle bygga kyrktornet. Det hela resulterade i att man fick bygga en helt ny kyrka och den blev i klassicistisk stil och blev klar 1850. 1956 byggde man till en sakristia (omklädningsrum för prästen). Det som idag finns kvar på insidan är altaruppsatsen från 1693 (andaktsmålning eller skulptur placerad på, ovanför eller bakom altaret) och predikstolen från 1703 i senbarocks stil.

Kyrkan består av ett långhus med tresidig koravslutning i öster och i väster fanns det fram tri ett torn med lanternin (litet torn med fönster som kröner ett tak). Muren är både på insidan och utsidan vitputsade.

Dopfunten är från 1200-talets senare del och är gjord av täljsten.

En tavla från 1892 hänger på långhusets nordvägg och har målats i olja på duk. Tavlan är målad av Gustaf Brusewitz. Altartavlan är en äldre altaruppsats i barock stil med två målade partier, Korsfästelsen och Uppståndelsen.

Denna geocache är inte placerad på kyrkoområdet och inte heller i den kringliggande muren. Ta med en egen penna. Behållaren smälter väl in i dess omgivning. Tidigare hette denna geocache "KV #43 - Härryda kyrka".
In Härryda during the middelages a stone church was built where todaays church stands. The thing that one knows that 1835 it an additional build was done, but the re-build failed when one was to build the church tower. The whole thing resulted in that onw built a completely new church and it is in classicistic style and was finished in 1850. 1956 one added a vestry (a changing room for the priest). That that today still is left inside is the altarpiece from 1693 (devotion painting or sculpture place on, above or behind the altar) and the pulpit from 1703 in late-baroque style.

The church consists of a nave and a three-sided chancel in the east and up to the 1940:ies there was in the west a tower with a lantern (a small tower with windows that tops a roof). The wall is both on the inside and the outside white limed.

The christening font is from the later part of the 13:th century and made in soapstone.

A painting from 1892 hangs on the northern nave wall and has be painted with oli on canvas. The painting is done by Gustaf Brusewitz. The altarpiece is an older altarpiece in baroque style with to painted sections, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection.

This geocache is not place in the church area and not in the surrounding church wall. Bring your own pen. The container blends well into it's surrounding. This geocache was previously namned "KV #43 - Härryda kyrka".
