On July 27, 2010 the Stanley Cup visited a very famous nearby restaurant and "Holy Cow!" did a lot of people come out to see it. I was told that over 2,000 people were there, but only 880 were able to see it before it left. Unfortunately, I was one of the 1,120 who was unable to view the Cup and take a picture with it. After we got kicked out of line, I ran into Randy in the parking lot. I had never met Randy before today. He had just come from getting his picture taken with the Cup and was telling us all about it. He was kind enough to share his pictures with us and gave us this story that he had just flown in from Colorado to see the Cup and was heading right back home as soon as his taxi arrived. We did not believe that he had just flown in from Colorado so he took out his driver’s license to prove he was telling the truth, and he was. I thought to myself this guy was nuts for flying that far to see the Cup. I then decided to ask him if he would e-mail me a picture of him with the Cup, and he said “sure”. So needless to say, I don't have a picture of myself with the Cup, but I have a picture of my new friend “Colorado Randy” with it. I will have to wait until next year when the Hawks win it again to get my very own picture with the Stanley Cup.
