No traipsing through fields, bogs or forest, just a simple roadside cache with parking
Bilbster Wind Farm, located 8km west of Wick , became fully operational in February 2008. The three turbines, each with a tip height of 90 metres, are capable of generating a total of 3.9 megawatts.
At this size the scheme will generate enough green electricity to power around 2,200 homes each year - equal to 60% of Wick's domestic demand
