Trelleborgen (The very best of Trelleborg #2)
När man 1988 på stadens högsta punkt fann spår av en ringborg från vikingatiden, en s.k. trelleborg, fick även stadens namn sin förklaring.

[Eng] I was born and raised in Malmö, but now I have been living in Trelleborg for five years. I have more and more learned to appreciate Trelleborg during my years here. There are favourite spots here that are worth one or several visits. My objective with my caches is to take you on a journey through ”The very best of Trelleborg”!
Trelleborgen – a Trellefortress (The very best of Trelleborg #2)
In 1988 archaeologists found traces of a circular fortress, a so called Trellefortress. With the finding of the fortress the city´s intriguing name was explained.
If you want more information about the intriguing history of the fortress and what the area offers today I recommend the web site www.trelleborg.se/trelleborgen and the English flag for information in English or make a visit in the entrance when you log this cache :-). The staff at Trelleborgen is aware about this cache.
