Geocache Description:

In Lillaz you will not only find impressing waterfalls but also a very interesting geologic parc.

You don't have to wait for my answer to log the cache (I'll get back to you if something is wrong) but you have to at least send me the answer BEFORE you log this cache as found!

Cascate di Lillaz

Close to the village of Lillaz in the Cogne valley you will find the impressing waterfalls "Cascate di Lillaz".
The Lillaz waterfalls are formed by rocky ledges through which the abundant waters of the Urtier torrent flow, carving deep gorges between the cliffs.
Starting from the waterfalls you can do a short circular walk that leads you higher up and gives you several nice views on the waterfalls.

Nella val di Cogne, nei pressi di Lillaz, si trovano le bellissime cascate che prendono il nome proprio da questa località.
Le cascate di Lillaz sono formate da sporgenze rocciose attraverso le quali scorrono le abbondanti acque del torrente Urtier, che scavano profonde gole tra le rocce.
Partendo dalle cascate, è possibile fare una breve camminata circolare che conduce più in alto, offrendo diverse belle vedute delle cascate stesse.

Geologic Parc

At the header coordinates you will find a sign with information about the geologic park that you will pass on the way to the waterfalls. In this park you can find several different rocks together with their names (even in Braille). Have a stroll through the park to learn how different types of rocks look like.
The park is accessible at all times and entry is free.

Alle coordinate troverete un cartello con informazioni sul parco geologico che passerete sulla strada per le cascate. In questo parco si trovano parecchi differenti tipi di rocce, tutte accompagnate dall'indicazione dei loro nomi (scritte anche in Braille). Fate un giro nel parco per imparare a conoscerne l'aspetto. Il parco è accessibile in ogni momento e l'ingresso è gratuito.

To log this earthcache upload a picture of your favourite rock in the parc together with your GPS-device (and yourself, if you want to) and state the type of the rock so that others can also learn from the gallery.
Also, send me an email describing the characteristics of the rock you chose and tell me what is tipical for this kind of rock.

Per registravi a questa "earthcache" caricate un'immagine della roccia che all'interno del parco preferite, insieme al vostro GPS (e a voi stessi, se volete) e specificate di che tipo di roccia si tratta, così che gli altri possano imparare anche dalla gallery. Anche speditemi una email in cui descrivete le caratteristiche della roccia che avete scelto e ditemi cosa è tipico per questo tipo di roccia.
