This cache is just off the Trail to Cora Lake. Please remember that this a gravel road with a lot of potholes in it, so a high clearance 4x4 vehicle is recommended. A permit is no longer required to park at the trailhead for THIS trail. You should go to Cora Lake in early summer, because any later the waterfalls may be dried up or any earlier, and it could be hard to cross.
The trail to Cora Lake takes you along the creek that drains the lake. Along this creek there are magnificent waterfalls, and the further you go, the better they get. There are also large trees in this forest too.
Please Note that there is a high terrain rating for this cache. The cache is located in a very steep area, so please be careful.
Bring Your Own Pen!!!
When you are about 50 feet away from the cache, you will see a path to the left of the trail. It is very overgrown, so bushwhacking may be necessary. The cache is a bit bigger than a pill container. Once you find the cache, be sure to look at the Spillway (it's a cool waterfall).
I recommend bringing walking sticks to steady you while you are searching for the cahce. It is in a VERY STEEP AREA.
