On Frogen Pond


Located near Juniper Springs Campground this pond is fed by Juniper Springs. Life thrives at this pond. We visited this pond in early July and found the pond to be swarmed with tiny frogs. 10 minutes after just exploring the pond about 100 or more birds came through, swooping down to feed on the frogs. Amazing site as we watch this happen. Pond is used by the the many critters in the area. I would definitely not want to take that drink.


Take caution should you venture to the pond and not to disturb the sensitive area. Stay on the trail and be respectful of its surroundings. Sit back and watch nature at its best.


The cache is a small tin located just south of the road. It is off the road and across from the pond for an easy grab. Please don't trample the area. Cache is located at or near the base of a tree/stump.
