Geocache Description:

A short series of 5 caches, set on a 1.7 mile mostly circular walk around Charlcombe and Lansdown, in the north of Bath. It is a combination of footpaths and lanes, with some excellent views.

This is the fourth of a series themed on my favourite US Baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.

Red Sox star pitcher Curt Schilling was pitching with an ankle injury, which got worse in his game 1 loss to the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. He returned in Game 6, his sock was soaked with blood from the sutures used in a medical procedure, but he still managed to pitch seven strong innings, giving up one run on four hits, and striking out four. This second bloody sock was placed in the Baseball Hall of Fame after Boston's victory over St. Louis in the World Series.

You are looking for a tube, about 6 inches long. Be careful of thorns.

After finding this cache, continue down the footpath. Note the footpath per the map follows close to the hedge, but you will find in parts it is overgrown, and an alternate route has developed.
