Gateway Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Coopermum: So sorry, but found no trace of this one. This is the third disappearance, so have decided to permanently archive Gateway. Such a pity, as it's a great spot for families, boaters and walkers.

Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache located at Gateway Park just off the B4090 Hanbury Road, approximately 3/4 mile to the east of Droitwich Town Centre, in front of Droitwich Rugby Club Grounds. A newly renovated section of canal passes nearby and there is an information board explaining a little bit about the massive works which have been undertaken here. The following link gives a little more info.

(visit link)

There is a car park (£2 all day), picnic tables and an unusual children's adventure playground. It is an excellent starting point for many different walks and the Wychavon Way passes very close by. Cycling is also very popular from here and there are several other caches within easy striking distance. The Eagle and Sun pub is a short distance away at Hanbury Wharf.

The canal is nearby with no barriers, so young children should be supervised at all times.

The area can get very busy, and the new hiding place is slightly more visible so please keep an eye out for muggles!

The cache is a small Lock n lock box. At time of listing it contained a selection of goodies plus a log book and pencil.

Good luck and happy caching.

Congratulations djglhegl - FTF on day one. Very quick off the mark!
