The coordinates will take you to a bench which is the start of your adventure. Relax on the bench until it is dark enough to begin the hunt. This cache will only be possible when it is dark. At night, it should be fairly easy and a lot of fun. The difficulty rating reflects the hike, and the special equipment you need.
For this cache, you need to bring a flashlight. You need a “good” flashlight, not a keyring LED or a single AA-cell Mag-light. If possible, you’d like it to project a beam out to 100 feet, though we’ve tried to place the markers closer together.
To Find The Cache: (Please print this part out and bring it with you on the trail, follow the instructions closely)
The Hike is a total of .3 miles with minor bushwacking involved.
Start: Begin at the listed coordinates, after it is fully dark, the darker the better. Turn on your flashlight and slowly illuminate the surrounding terrain. Hold your flashlight at eye level. You are looking for a small round orange reflector that will mark the onset of your journey. The reflector will only illuminate back to the light so if you are going with a friend you should each have your own light.
Middle: Continue to look for additional small round reflectors, walk towards them. Repeat the procedure, following the reflectors along the way. Occassionally you will see a group of reflectors in the shape of an arrow to point you in the direction you should be looking and going. Do NOT follow any other type reflectors that may be marking a ski trail! All of the reflectors for this cache are the same size and type.
Cache: You are looking for a "clump" of small round reflectors, they will mark where to look for the cache. You are looking for an ammo box.
Do NOT go beyond this clump of reflectors as that will be private property.
Return: To find your way back, return the same way you came, following the small round reflectors until you reach the dirt road that you crossed earlier. Turn right and follow the road back to your vehicle.
