Geocache Description:

Black film canister-sized cache that can be retrieved during winter too - if you can find legal parking somewhere not too far away!

Placed this one "on the way" back home after a 4-day camp I was volunteering at, and treasure hunters #1 & 2 attended, with my church. We stayed at Camp Sky Mountain, down at the very end of this road beyond the campground, and had a great time. If you've been on the lake, or on Forest Rt 19, it is their dining hall that you see atop the rock near their swimming/canoeing area.

The camp is a beautiful place, and I have been lucky enough to go there most years since the early 90's when it was owned by the YMCA, including the last 2 summers with my kids. They are open even during the winter, when they pick you up on a sled pulled by a snowcat. Any season is beautiful at Camp Sky Mountain.

For this cache you can park about 20' away during the summer, but not legally once it starts snowing. You'll run the risk of being plowed if you do!

Congrats to calcql8 & Kit Phox for FTF!
