This cache is dedicated to men and women who serve in our Public Safety area. The cache sits just outside the Institute of Public Safety Grounds (on public right of way). The Santa Fe College, Institute of Public Safety is just on the other side of the fence. You are very near the center that trains your Paramedics, Police Officers, Deputies, and Corrections Officers.
You may even hear them out on the firearms range, thats the big mounds of dirt south of your position across the pond. The Institute sits on 164 acres and has a Driving Pad, Physical Abilities Course, 3 Firearms Ranges, and is a campus of Santa Fe College. If you drive through our parking lot to take a look at the institute, there is a LARGE Travel Bug in the parking lot near the west end of the main building. All I can say is its Silver in color and the TB # is on the rear drivers side window. Oh and the TB is very patriotic and military!
Be safe and no worries, your not being watched, much but stealth may be required at certain times!! Lots of traffic in the area and now due to cleanup of the area, be careful about muggles inside the fence watching you.
The cache is a standard ammo can (we use about 250,000 rounds of ammo a year here!) with lots of good swag, and a few travel bugs to start out with. And some very cool collectable "challenge" coins. Also some US Army stuff and flag pins to boot! There are also a few small childs toys for the kids! Please make sure to sign the log and observe the T1L1 rule. And make sure to camo as found, don't want this cache to go walking off! :) Its placed on the public side of the fence, no need to climb it.
You do not have to do any bushwacking, just be careful pulling off the road and stopping! Replace natural camo as needed please.
