This is the memorial cache for the "Friedensgrund 2010" in Cretoaja, Moldova.

Friedensgrund means:
an international and ecumenical youth project sponsored by the diocese of Hildesheim.
For more than 15 years now the diocese of Hildesheim invites each summer young people aged 18-30 from Germany and from different countries of Middle-Eastern-Europe to live together for about two weeks in a camp (this camp is built with tents); to work together, to pray, to discuss, to inform themselves, to share free time. At the heart of this project we find the experience and the dealing with the mostly new and unknown:
How do young people from Belarus or the Ukraine experience the situation in their countries? Which are the hopes that animate young people from Lithuania, Poland or Hungary? Which are the difficulties or fears young people from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina or Romania have to struggle with? Friedensgrund is a place of meeting, a place of sharing. To get to know each other, to be active together. To become a visible sign for the fact that together young people from different nations and confessions want and are able to create and to shape future.
What might be the contribution of young Christians to a coexistence in Europe that is characterized by reconciliation, peace and solidarity? The participants of Friedensgrund give an answer to this question by living, praying and working together. Their most valuable experiences:
* discover Jesus Christ as the fundament of our hope and confidence
* overcome prejudices and animosities
* open up oneself for different cultures, mentalities and forms of expression
* find new strength in community
