Hello fellow Geocachers, I found this area interesting as it served two purposes as of this date.
This is the site of The Former Bowles Airport. It was dedicated on 5/31/1930 and it closed a some point between 1985 and 1990. The first new redevelopment on the site started in the late 1980's after it had closed. This is a historic site in Agawam that has an interesting history.
Also this is that sight of the Simmons Beauty Rest Warehouse. Introduced in 1925, the Simmons Beautyrest product soon became the toast of fashion, celebrity and glamour. Everyone from Henry Ford and Thomas Edison to Eleanor Roosevelt and Dorothy Lamour praised the virtues of the Pocketed Coil springs – and the sleep that came with it. In the 1950s, ads showed that even circus elephants could take comfort on a Beautyrest mattress.
Cache contains plenty of tradeable,items, a trackable (Peace Retro Van), First to Find Prize, Log & Pen.
