The Pentland Hills are home to many geocaches and this is a good place to start any caching tour. But why march straight past this great park? This is not a cache'n'dash, but you should be able to find this and be back even before the weather's had a chance to change!
First, grab some info from the notice boards:
- Last digits of PHRPH duty officer telephone number are A01
- Bonaly Reservoir was built in 185B
- Heather has been put to many uses through the centuries. C 'b's in the title of the section telling you about them.
- D thousand years ago, Clubbiedean Fort stood high and proud
- Number of letters in first word of standard name for Erica tetralix is E
- Blue green pine needles are upto Fcm long
- Number of letters in first word of standard name for Calluna Vulgaris is G
- H = A-B
(A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H = 29)
And the cache is at N55 5A.BCD W 3 1E.FGH. Happy (sc)rambling!
(Kids will probably love the end location, worried parents may want to keep 'em on a shorter leash!)
The White Hill cache can combined with this one, in either direction.
