Zuljana
EN:Zuljana is a little village and port, located at the bottom of a tranquil bay on the southern shore of Peljesac , 24 km northwest of Ston . One of the most beautiful and longest beaches on the Adriatic is in Zuljana. On the shore there are findings of Roman origin, probably Ville rusticate. It is possible that its name came from a Latin name of its owner Julianus. It is more likely that the name came after the church of St. Julian, rarely honored patron saint of travelers and lepers. It is mentioned in the written documents from the XII century.Zuljana is a home to about 220 people, self supporting with wine making, growing olives, fishing and tourism industry.
CZ:Žuljana je malá obec a prístav,nacházející se ve spodní cásti klidné zátoky,na jižním pobreží Pelješac, 24 km severozápadne od Stonu.Jedny z nejhezcích a nejdelších pláží na Jadranu jsou v Žuljane. Na pobreží jsou nálezy rímského puvodu.Je možné, že jeho jméno prišlo z latinského jména svého majitele Julia.Je více pravdepodobné, že jméno prišlo poté, co byl kostel svatého Juliana, pocten jako svatý patron cestujících a malomocných. Je to uvedeno v písemných dokumentech z XII století.Zuljana je domovem asi 220 lidí,podporující vinarství, pestování oliv, rybolov a cestovní ruch.

Church of St. Martin/Kostel sv. Martina
EN:Parish church of St. Martin built in the XIII century, and reconstructed in 1961. St. Martin is the patron saint of Zuljana and the St. Martin’s Day, Nov 11, is the traditional wine tasting day.
CZ:Farní kostel sv. Martina byl postaven v XIII století, a rekonstruován v roce 1961. Sv. Martin je patronem Žuljany a na svatého Martina(11.Listopad),je tradicní den ochutnávání vína.
