This is my first cache.....over 350 cache hides ago (now over 1100 hides ago). It is a camo box hidden under a tree trunk, ivy, and tree bark.
You can access this through the free Croker entrance above the park or the paid ($6 per day entrance) off of Guadalupe Canyon. The GZ is near the base of a rope climbing site.....not sure it is still in use. As you approach from below you will see two larger trees with a support connecting them above you (well above head level but not at the top) then look to your left. In case muggles are about and/or the rope climbing site is still in use, please re-hide the cache that you find very well. I really don't want to see this cache go missing again and sure don't want to have to archive our very first hide.Cache has a log book and a bag of trades/schwag - take one & leave one. There is a service road above GZ so please watch for muggles above GZ also.
Cache is under a tree trunk and hidden by ivy and a sheet of tree bark.
There can be poison oak around San Bruno Mountain so please be careful, wear proper cover, and wash well afterwards (even in winter when there are no visible leaves, the branches can still infect). The day I replaced this cache when it had been muggled, I did develop a small PO patch on my forearm - but I had also replaced a muggled cache in San Bruno City Park and think that was the source of the PO....but I can't be sure, so just keep a eye open for PO anyway.
PLEASE REHIDE IN THE SAME SPOT AND HIDING IT OUT OF VIEW.
