Geocache Description:

Stage 1

Sight the cannon to hit your target. The cache is not located on the State House grounds.

Cache has a log only. BYOP

"The Maryland State House is the oldest state capitol still in continuous use and is the only state house to have served as the nation's capitol. The Continental Congress met in the Old Senate Chamber from November 26, 1783, to August 13, 1784. During that time, George Washington came before Congress to resign his commission as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and the Treaty of Paris was ratified, marking the official end of the Revolutionary War." - Maryland State Archives

This WAS a 2 stage multi-cache. I had to lop off Stage 2 because the hiding place was abruptly removed. Not sure if it had anything to do with periodic suspicious behavior occurring in such close proximity to the Governor's Mansion and the State House...

Congrats to Wizard and Suzanne on FTF
