Geocache Description:

With the summer days getting hotter and hotter and the necessity to still geocache on our minds, we have put together this series to help teach people or make them aware of some important and often overlooked precautions of heat related injuries and how to treat them. It is a series of 9 caches called Heat Stroke Assessment Series. First stage of heat illness: Heat cramps Happy Hunting and BYOP. 3 liters water minimum required.

We've been looking for an area to put out this series for the ultimate of all addicts. This trail is flat for the most part with some overgrown grass. Walking is the preferred method of travel but a mountain bike would also be able to make the trip. All caches are close to the edge of the trail so no bushwacking is required. This series has been rated as a 3.5 difficulty because of the distance (2.1 miles) and heat index this time of year. You are looking for lock n lock containers camo'd
HEAT CRAMPS: Heat cramps usually occur when a person has been active in hot weather and is dehydrated. Heat cramps are painful but easily treated.
Step 1 Symptom:
Check for a cramping in the leg muscles or abdomen.
Treatment 1: Move the person out of direct sunlight, preferably into a cool, shaded area.
Treatment 2: Stretch the calf and thigh muscles gently through the cramp. This will usually bring immediate relief.
