A tradional small cache located near the old townsite of Rembrandt.
Rembrandt initally was a whistle stop for the extension on the Canadian Pacific Railway from Komarno to Arborg in 1910. This extension was to bring livestock, cordwood, and hay from the Interlake area to Winnipeg and also help bring new settlers out to the surrounding area to begin the process of homesteading.
Ukraininan immigrants began settling in the area between 1915 and 1917. A nearby church was completed in 1917.
As we cruised through the area we stumbled a herd of buffalo that are being farmed. We thought this would be a great location to put a cache! In fact, we placed a MBGA buffalo coin to start its travels from here!
