Geocache Description:

At the given coordinates you will not find the container, unless you will place it there yourself. The coordinates will lead you to the entrance of the former army base "Zeltini". This was a Soviet army nuclear missiles base which was built in the early 1960s and disused in 1989 (or in 1988, sources vary). The strategic nuclear missiles stored in Zeltini were aimed at European countries.

Nowadays the former military base has become a tourist attraction, entry in the base is free, yet entering structures to be found in the base is at your own risk, as those are not kept in mint condition.
In the army base you should find another witness of the Soviet period in the history of Latvia - a huge head of Vladimir Lenin. This 3.5 meters high statue was made by the sculptor Gaida Grundberga and was on display in Aluksne from 1970 to 1990. The head of Lenin is placed on the top of a former missile launch construction. You will observe that the statue doesn't have a body - just the head, thus the name for the cache. We can't help you much locating the body of Lenin (ok, you may try the Mausoleum in Moscow, but that may be just a wax figure), but we can help you find the cache. To fin a geocache make a projection 172.4 m and 18.66 degrees from the head.
